What is a Transformer Pavilion?

What is a transformer pavilion? are indispensable protection kiosks for power lines and electrical devices. Transformers provide the process of controlling voltage in electrical systems and technically speaking, a transformer is an electrical system element used to lower or raise electrical energy by electromagnetic induction.

The transformer corner is a part of the electrical circuit where high voltage must be reduced or used to increase the voltage. The intended use of transformers is quite wide and there are different types of transformers according to where they are used.

What Does a Transformer Pavilion Do?

These kiosks are generally required wherever there is electricity. The areas of use of transformers are quite wide and there are transformer types with different production types and types according to the areas they are used. The main distribution lines of the electricity coming to the houses are transformers and the electricity is deducted after the main distribution lines and delivered to the houses through transformers. For this, there are substations in every neighborhood. These structures, called transformer pavilions, are made of many materials and the high-voltage electrical energy coming to the transformers inside the structures is reduced to values that can be used in homes with the help of step-down transformers.

The transformers used here are called step-down transformers. Apart from that, it can also be used in electrical devices, chargers and electrical devices in terms of what the transformer is used for. Transformers ensure that the voltages that have decreased due to the length of the power lines in the event that the electricity is transported from one place to another place are delivered to the end user at certain points and the transformers used for this purpose are called step-up transformers.

What are the Usage Areas of Transformers?

Although transformers are used in almost all places where there is electricity, these devices, called transformers or transformers, are not used in DC circuits where direct current is supplied. Transformer types are used in AC circuits used in homes and called alternating current. They are also named differently according to the purposes for which they are used in places where voltage must be converted to low or high, these devices can be summarized as follows,

  • Measuring transformers are used in electrical circuits with high voltage to enable measurements such as mains voltage, power measurement, current by connecting the measuring device and are used in high voltage areas such as transformer corner.
  • In step-up transformers, although the input voltages are lower, the output voltages are higher. They are used in power lines where voltage drops occur, but more compact designs are used in TVs.
  • The purpose of isolation transformers, apart from voltage conversion, is to provide insulation between two different electrical circuits.
  • Small in structure but highly efficient, the autotransformer is often used in essential appliances and electronic devices.

What is Transformer Working Principle?

Transformers are vehicles that provide electricity transmission by electromagnetic induction method. Transformers are formed by winding two different coils on a structure called the core, which is usually formed by pressing square sheet metal plates on top of each other. One of these coils, which has no electrical connection between them, is called the input winding, i.e. the primary, and the other is called the secondary, i.e. the output winding. When electrical energy is supplied to the input winding, a voltage is obtained from the output winding according to the type of transformer.

When electrical energy passes through these coils, which have no electrical connection between them, they create a magnetic step on the moth. As a result of the transmission of the magnetic current through the core, voltage is obtained from the output winding.

What Are Transformers According to Their Working Places?

The common feature of transformers according to their place of operation is that they are located wherever there is electrical energy. Therefore, places of use have more than one name. Transformers are manufactured considering hot and cold weather conditions, working under pressure and working under water. These transformers are called underground type, underwater type or indoor type. Indoor type transformers are transformers used in places such as transformer pavilion.

Transformer Kiosk Prices

When transformer pavilion prices are considered, they are generally priced according to the type and size and it is possible to find transformers according to the desired specifications in the market. For transformers produced for larger needs, pricing is made on a project basis. In other words, in general, electricity kiosk prices may vary according to various situations such as insulation materials used, size, structural status of the project, so you should contact for detailed price information.

Transformer Lodge Installation and Assembly

When the installation and assembly of the transformer kiosk is considered, transformers can be used up to 400Kva as a pole type transformer, but concrete kiosk type substations are installed as a substation for energy distribution from medium voltage to low voltage for the purpose of supplying power greater than 400kVA by reducing the power to low voltage level. It is designed using meters to measure from low voltage or medium voltage. For installation and assembly of transformer pavilion,

  • For new transformer installation or power increase, the transformer power is decided by calculating the power required at the first stage and the necessary documents are prepared and submitted to the relevant institution.
  • The presence of transformers and other equipment in an enclosed area prevents contact of live and human beings with live materials. Necessary controls are carried out regardless of weather conditions.
  • In transformers, power outages are minimized depending on weather conditions. Substations within the city have the ability to distribute via aerial line and also underground cables.
  • Laying of cables and other materials at the appropriate depth and according to the regulations, applications of joint exemptions and cable headers, grounding and many other important assemblies and installations are made.
  • When the transformer corner foundation is looked at, if there are errors in the assembly, these parts are corrected and manufactured in accordance with the transformer corner standard.

How to Design a Transformer Pavilion?

Transformer pavilion design is prepared according to customer requests and expectations with meticulous work and technical performance together with special materials. Transformer corner designs are specially designed for harsh weather conditions and thus provide long-term use without damaging the electrical circuits. The coating materials used in transformer kiosks prevent water and moisture from passing from the outside to the inside and allow the applied surface to breathe.

Thus, this coating material, which is resistant to atmospheric bad weather conditions and abrasion, prevents rainwater from entering the inside on the roofs and on the entire facade. During the design of the transformer pavilion, especially ease of transportation, tests carried out in the factory environment, maximum operator safety in case of internal arc failure, easy installation are included.

Transformer Pavilion Dimensions

Transformer corner dimensions are designed completely on request. Generally, monoblock concrete pavilions are manufactured with a maximum size of 2.5 x 7.5 meters and a height of 3.55. When a distribution or substation center larger than this size is needed, prefabricated concrete kiosks are needed instead of these concrete kiosks. For example, when used instead of a 7.5 meter long monoblock concrete kiosk, a maximum of 7 cells with breakers at 36kV voltage level can be installed. When more than this number of input and output cells are required, prefabricated concrete kiosks are used instead of monoblock concrete kiosks. A variety of equipment is used in the concrete pavilion dimensions, and a solid and durable structure is created with special interlocks between the foundation beam, side walls and roof.
